Lyze
Bamigbola-Silas,
An exclusive London Designer creates
bespoke headwear through personal
consultations with her clients.
My
passion has always been designing and,
after 2 non-design related degrees and a
few diplomas, I decided to answer the 'whisper'
to
research
millinery. That 'whisper'
developed into a passion that became my
source of livelihood.
I
started millinery studies in 1999 at the
Kensington and Chelsea College. By the
summer of 2000, my first ‘perfect’ hats
collection was sold by Peter Jones of
Sloane Square for Ascot.
I was thrilled
and have not looked back since.
I
gained tutorship under the discerning
eyes of from Kirsten Scott, milliner to
Karl Lagerfeld for Chanel, Rose Cory,
the Queen Mother's milliner, Caroline
Morris and Ian Bennett.
For
practical experience I turned to
Siegfried Hesbacher of Siggi Hats and
Edwina Ibbotson. I am privileged to have gained
a wealth of knowledge from some of the
best in the millinery industry.
The
following year, I won the Felt makers' Design Award. Since then, my
creations gathered critical acclaim and
rave reviews, featuring in publications
and the National Newspaper and
Television shows.
My
'passion for perfection' is reflected
throughout the design, careful crafting
and finishing process of each piece.
All
Hats and Fascinators are made with
high-grade materials and to the highest
standards.
I work
from my South London base, and
have a world-wide clientele.
I pride
myself on the originality of my work,
which reflects and results in the vibrant
creations.
The process starts with a personal
consultations with the client, resulting
in each hat/fascinator being unique and
head-turning, made exactly to meet the
client’s specifications.
This
holistic service has led to fast
advancement of the business in such a
short space of time.
My
desire and goal is not only to make a
statement and flatter the wearer,
but to inspire confidence, a timeless
sophistication whilst pleasing the
observer!
My
clients know they have found one of
South London's best kept SECRETS!!!
